Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF)
Our church has a vital, energized Youth Ministry. Young people from 6th grade through High School experience and share God’s love through purposeful action.
Methodist Youth Fellowship meets on Sunday evenings at 5:30pm following The Fountain for Bible Study and fellowship.
Youth Sunday School takes place at 9:45am between the early and late traditional services. Just ask someone to take you to the coolest place in the whole church.
Mission Opportunities – The youth of Cokesbury are young people of action. They have worked extensively with Houston’s homeless through Crossroads at Park Place. In addition, UMArmy and Big House work camps give our youth an opportunity to build houses, do yardwork, and other loving outreach in the name of Jesus.
Youth Praise Band assists in leading worship for The Fountain, our Sunday evening worship service. Any young person interested in singing, playing an instrument, learning to play, or providing technical support is welcome!
Current Events Join us this Sunday morning, September 5, at 9:45 as we take a look at Noah. Come share what you already know about him, and see if there is anything you didn’t know. We will meet upstairs. Jr. and Sr. High will meet together for this study.
Game Night is this Friday, September 3. We will meet at the church at 6:15 p.m. and go to Kirkwood South Christian Church to join their youth group for pizza and worship. We will return to Cokesbury at 8:00 p.m. for games and snacks. Bring a friend, a snack to share, and your favorite game!
It’s time for our Scavenger Hunt for SeAM! Sunday, September 5, during MYF time, we will be going out into the community and collecting non-perishable food items for the food pantry at Southeast Area Ministries (SeAM). Come and compete with your friends to gather the most food. The team with the most points wins a prize!
